We started out by eating breakfast with our ward at the chapel we meet in. We had pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and juice. They put on a primary activity explaining how we became a free country and what our flag represents. It made me realize just how privileged we really are to live in a free country. How grateful we feel for the freedoms we have.
After the ward breakfast we headed up to Baltimore to spend the day with Ruth's family (Brian's sister). We went to a parade in the early afternoon, which KennaDee had lots of fun eating all the candy that the other kids ran out to fetch.
After the parade, we went back to Ruth's for a barbeque. KennaDee slept through most of the fun while we ate. She woke up right after we were done eating. I guess all the action of eating candy wore her out.
Let me inform you all that it was very overcast and expected to rain all day. Well, after we had finished eating, it started to rain. We had plans to go down by the harbor to watch performances and then the fireworks. Well, the rain kept coming and then it would stop, then it would come, then it would stop. Every time that it stopped, we would rush to get things in the car and by the time we would get ready to go, it would start raining again. We didn't know if we were going to go or not. But then, a last minute decision was made and we all packed up in the cars and took off. We weren't sure if the show was still going to happen considering the weather conditions. Anyhow, we found a place to park and started walking up on top of this big hill to watch the fireworks. It was a beautiful sight to look out and see the harbor with boats and lights. The fireworks were scheduled to start at 9:30. Well....it hadn't rained at all until about 9:00. Let me tell you, it didn't just rain.....it poured!! People were scramming everywhere to fin
Others who were

It was quite an adventure hiding underneath a tarp for half an hour while it poured on our heads. Even though we were covered, it was raining so hard that we still got wet. This is a picture before it started to rain. This will be one fourth of July that we won't forget. We hope yours was memorable as well. We love you all!
Sounds like you guys had fun. I can't wait to see you when you're here!!
