Do you know John Williams?

Well, Brian does. In case you are unfamiliar with who he is, he is the composer of the music for Star Wars, Harry Potter, Home Alone, Hook, Indiana Jones, and several more. He came to Washington DC and conducted the Marine Band in compositions that he had written. While he was there, he was able to meet with each member of the Band and other offices individually. Brian loved it. He said that John was a very nice guy and very interested in what the others needed or wanted to say. Here are a few pictures of them together.

On the left is John Willims conducting the band and on the right is John Williams with the Public Affairs Office. Those are the three women that Brian works with. Amanda (next to Brian). Then John Williams, Kristin (his boss), and Rachel.

Doesn't he look great in that uniform?!

Up Close and Personal

We went downtown awhile ago and had a picnic on the National Mall. Later that evening we went to watch some of the Marine Band members play. After we sat down to eat, there were several squirrels that started inching themselves closer and closer to us and then started doing circles around us as they sniffed the ground, looking for food. KennaDee tried feeding them and lo and behold, they ate right from her hand!!
Look at these great photos!

The squirrels would always run away after they got the food and a couple of times, this one squirrel would run up the tree and then hand on with his feet, eat his chip with his hands, while hanging upside down. Check this out. It looked cooler in person. This was such an amazing experience.
Then here are some other pictures that we took while we were there. Aren't my children the cutest?

First REAL Haicut......AAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Okay, so we finally went to get KennaDee's hair cut. I can't believe that her hair is gone. Well, I mean it's still there but the length is gone! I really do like it, I think it's cute. Of course, no matter what KennaDee's hair looked like, she would still be darling. She's just so beautiful! We are so blessed. However, when I look at pictures with her hair long, I miss it sooo much but then I think again, about how LONG it took me to comb through her hair everyday and I quickly change my mind. I love her short hair even more. Here's a before and after picture.

Sorry the before pictures are hard to see. I kindof forgot to take some before she got it cut.

Wow, she is growing up!
