Kids - Gotta Love 'Em

Do you ever feel stressed when bathing your kids? Here is how our bathtime routine usually goes. They both get in the bathtub and I let them just play for a little while. Then I bathe Jackson and take him out. I used to bathe both of them and take them both out at the same time however, KennaDee doesn't like to do that anymore. Ever since I taught her the word "privacy, " she has to do things in private now. So - she wants me to wash Jackson and take him out so that she can close the curtain and wash her self with privacy. Then after I get Jackson dressed, I have about 2 minutes time to wash KennaDee's hair before Jackson comes running in and diving in. Literally - he will go head first, clothes and all. No joke - he's done it. Anyhow, so I was at the point of washing KennaDee's hair and I had asked her SEVERAL times to lie down so that I could wash her hair. She kept making excuses and not listening to me. I started to feel frustrated and finally at my last attempt to get her to lay down, she does and she smiles at me and says "Mom, I'm so grateful when you're happy." Now - how can I not smile after that remark? It completely changed my attitude. I knew there was a reason I had children. :)

My li'l sis

This is one of my younger sisters. She is 22 now and I love her so much! We have become really close over the years and right now she is in the ICU. The doctors don't know what she has right now but every once in a while she will start having breathing attacks where she is gasping for air and cannot breathe. Teresa is very tough and loves pain. To know that she was in enough pain to go to the doctor worries me. They are treating it as if she has whooping cough but will not know if that is what it is for another week. She calls me every now and then to tell me that she is okay, but those of you who know her - knows that is just a cover up. When I talk to her she sounds like a someone who is suffering from bronchitis. She is a fighter and I know she will come out of it but please keep her in your prayers.

My new home

KennaDee has found a new hiding place in our house. It usually is occupied with our pancake grill but it has been out all week. She calls this place her new home. She tells me every night that she wants to sleep in there. She doesn't want to sleep in her bed, she wants to sleep in her new house. You have to knock to open it. I finally convinced her to let me take a picture of her in her new house. She's so adorable. Do you remember having a special hiding place when you were young?
I couldn't get rid of the red eye in her right eye. I don't know why. And no, it's not food on her chin. She biffed it hard on our front steps today. Poor girl.
