Our Golden Ct. house is no longer "golden."
Well, for those of you who have not heard the latest news on our home buying experience. The home we loved did not go through. Not at any fault of ours. The sellers owed more money than they could pay and so one of the two banks they had a loan through, denied them the opportunity to sell the home. That bank thinks that they will be able to make more money off of the home if they foreclose on it and take it to auction. There is, however, another home just a few houses down that just dropped their price to our range so we are going to look at it tomorrow to see what we think. What is so confusing to me is that we felt good about purchasing that other home as we prayed to ask Heavenly Father for his confirmation, but for some reason, it is not working out. Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions or perhaps Heavenly Father was okay with us purchasing that home but we still have to understand that other people are a huge factor in this decision and those people still have their own free agency. So...what do we do now? We are still not 100% sure but we are still praying for guidance and we will look at this home tomorrow and see how we feel about then take the next step necessary. Let us know if y'all have any suggestions.

Oh man, these are the times that faith, hope and trust are the hardest! I "hope" something works out--I'm sure whatever's best, right?
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar situation with our home. The first home we were purchasing and had a closing date on, ended up being wrong. We had felt so right about it and once things started going, it felt completely wrong. BUT, through that we were guided in other areas and other prayers were answered. Then when we bought our house we have now, it was very right and we knew right away. It took less than 30 days for the offer and closing on it. It was amazing! Do NOT get discouraged. Heavenly Father has amazing ways at answering our prayers. It felt right for a reason, and other prayers may be answered through that. I'm sorry you guys are having to go through that. I know you will be faithful and keep seeking answers. Maybe the feeling of being right wasn't necessarily the house, it might be right to get a house, just not that one. I love ya! I"m excited for when you guys get your house.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Shara when you said, that you have no control over the agency of others. It's just hard when you have to stand around and just let it happen to you without any say in the matter. Hang in there, maybe there's something better just around the bend! Good luck!
